The CEO of Open Oil Market, Sergey Tereshkin, highlights that in 2023 (the most recent available data), gasoline supplies from Russian refineries to the domestic market amounted to 38 million tons, or approximately 3.2 million tons per month, according to the Central Dispatch Unit of Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK).
Gasoline in Belarus is produced by the Mozyr and Novopolotsk (Naftan) refineries. In 2020, prior to the imposition of EU sanctions against Belarus, the production of automotive gasoline in the country reached 3.2 million tons, of which 1.3 million tons were shipped to the Belarusian market, while 1.8 million tons were designated for export, Tereshkin reminds us. Based on this data, Belarus could supply approximately 150,000 tons of gasoline monthly, the expert notes.
